Ditch the rubber thingy in the rear console that is too small for anything since the first flip phone. I cut up a piece of dense foam about an 1/2 thick and put a long piece of velcro over it. Drop my phone into the mostly useless black hole of a cell charger, foam on top so it is higher than the sides of the black hole, and then a band of velcro that runs over the foam and down to the carpet on each side. Used a bit of the soft side velcro to attach the foam to the strap.

Works great, but still might use the Dremel to trim up some of the left over plastic bits in the sorry excuse for a cell phone charger.

Glad they didn't use these clowns in the engine and suspension departments.

I just went with a magsafe flat charger, an acrylic disc about the same diameter and ~1/8th in thick. Some 3M adhesive and did this. I plugged the charger into a usb slot in the console and tucked the wire out of the way. The charger sits just a tid bit above the plastic edges of the console so when my iphone 15 pro max sits on the charger the outer edges provide a bit of stability. The magsafe holds the phone very well, even under some quick lateral moves.

The only thing I have to be aware of is when I grab my phone it can pull the little rubber mat out unless as im grabbing the phone I push with a finger on the mat to separate the phone from the charger.

Pro Clip is pretty nice and what I use. You order the phone holder separate from the base mount. It rotates to landscape or portrait mode.

I've played around with a number of different phone mounts and didn't like any of them, so I designed my own to work in conjunction with a Apple MagSafe puck charger, the ProClip vehicle mount, Ram 1" ball base (x2) and a double socket arm.

What I wanted was a mount where I could just drop in the phone with zero effort and it would be held in the position I wanted while charging. MagSafe mounts that didn't include both horizontal and vertical support didn't work for me as the phone kept flying off the mount at the worst times usually sending the phone under the seat.

I've been using this one I 3d printed for a little while and it works very well. On the thingiverse link are the Fusion 360 files so you can modify it for your phone and case.

That 3D print is sweet!!! I made one like that (w/iPhone charge pad) for my Lexus, may have to do one for my Camaro.

I chopped mine short at the top so I didn’t have to accommodate the camera.
