Rotors shipped in a thick coating??
How hard is it supposed to be to get this stuff off the rotor. It looks almost like paint. I’ve been spraying brake clean and wiping but it won’t come off.
Does it go on car like this? |

Yes. they just go on the car like that. When you bed in your brakes, it'll polish right up with the heat and friction.

A scotchbrite pad and accetone will take it off. Clean it with brake cleaner or 50/50 isopropyl alcohol afterwards. Wear gloves!

Every Brake discs I installed yet came coated like that. Similar coating on my BMW brakes when they were new.
Probably so they dont start to rust and I bet it's to bed in perfectly, especially with new brake pads since the come very smooth.
