My car's manufacture date just passed 5 years and it's still running on the original battery.

Based on the interior gauge the voltage seems good.

I've never kept it on a tender because I have driven it most days. That's about to change, so I'm looking for recommendations for one.

I use a Battery Tender on my motorcycle.

My battery is 7 years old but I also only have 23K miles.
I am sure the infrequent use, indoor storage and the battery tender have contributed to its longevity.

All that shared, I expect it to start fading any day now.

Just replaced the original battery in the Z. Stamp on it says it was manufactured in 2017. Nearly 7 years old, tender over winters. Not bad I guess… LOL

I put a Noco Genius 2d on mine directly on the battery. So far so good - don't need anything in the engine bay and the wires come neatly out of the panel in trunk lining. Just back into the garage, plug in and I'm good to go.

Took about 48 hours from the time I plugged it in to get to solid green, which means it's doing a maintenance charge.
