Interesting information, that made me look up my renewal due 6/23/24. I have Progressive as well, comp went up $3 and collision up $24 for six months. Must be a regional adjustment?

It's always rather unexplained, I don't think theft in Kansas City is like LA and elsewhere on ZL1's but who know's. Last I checked lexisnexis and verisk they had no data on my so OnStar wasn't spying that I could tell.
My Girls Jeep went up $1 LOL.

I'm Apple. We put an Air Tag in my teenager's car (our car, they are a minor) connected to my wife's phone. I get notifications on my phone that an Air Tag is near me when I drive it. Two words of caution, the accuracy and frequency the tag sends data is dependent on other mobile devices in proximity, so there may be gaps in data. Also, there is a delay, it can be a day or two before you get the notice.

One thing to add. If you are using an air tag for theft prevention/theft tracking, remove the speaker out of the air tag. There are YouTube videos showing how. This will eliminate the ability for a thief to try and ping the air tag to make noise to find it's location. They will know there is one with them but will not be able to easily find it if you hide it well.

I received my locking bollard today and will start the install soon. I'll post a thread with photos when I do so. Although I don't think I will drive my car and leave it somewhere unattended (I haven't yet). I'm planning on implementing something like the below (not listing details). But key fob, reprogrammed key fob, scanned hacked fob or not. If the car isn't getting fuel, it can't be stolen and driven away! At that point, the only way the car will be stolen is by a tow truck !

For anyone coming to this thread to maybe see some theft deterrent ideas for their vehicle. The Bluetooth throttle controller by Soler Performance is great. Just plug it into your accelerator pedal and turn on the lock feature via the Bluetooth app. The car still turns on but the throttle is completely locked. Just another added layer to make someone think "What in the world" and hopefully move on to the next.
Here is the link to it if anyone is interested. Also use the discount code SALE5P, which is good until the end of the month.

Works as advertised. I "turn off" my gas pedal anytime I leave my car for more than overnight.

That said, even at idle our cars have enough TQ to get moving without hitting the pedal, but every layer is helpful.

Have had an IGLA installed for awhile and been debating on getting a Compustar installed too

Keep going back and forth on the Compustar install. Would love to have an alarm and notification. Especially when out and about, or on a trip, but not really so much ar home.

Not a daily driver, so between not sure if it really adds value at home, the security of IGLA, the possible battery issues for leaving the car sitting for days or even a week or two, and the duplication of factory options I'm torn on whether to pull the trigger on an install.

Do you have Compustar installed already? What's your experience like with it?
yes i have the compustar and i love it i also have the JDI system where i can shut off the fuel pump from my phone and its a GPS tracker. both the system i have there has been no issuees i want one more layer of protection which model igla are you using

3 mph steady in my V6. Felt weird driving around a parking lot with the gas pedal doing nothing.

I think someone wanting to make a quick getaway would instead abandon the vehicle if they made it past the other countermeasures.

And - for the jokers out there - the Lock setting might be good for a laugh when you offer to let someone "try out" your ZL1! "Make sure to take it real easy on the gas pedal!"

To follow up on this, the Ampire works great. Enter your code, car starts. Don't enter the code or don't enter the right code and the car doesn't start. Very pleased so far.

Glad to hear it, I'll pass it along to my installer. I'm not sure who told him it didn't work right, but he's a "want to know everything about all the things" kind of guy.

How many places did you find suitable for the install? I took a long hard look at it, and was going to order when until I talked "my guy" (who's done 2 Audi's and an Infiniti for us). Looked completely doable.

I did it myself, so I'm not sure. It was straightforward as far as install and setup goes. It came preprogrammed for the Camaro. Just tear the interior apart, wire it in, set your code, and good to go!
