C&R oil cooler. Found it in a thread here. Between that, E60, and the custom crash bar I am hoping to keep temps down. I will record some my next track session.

That's AWESOME...

Great timing for me to share a quick update. The next batch of (25) bars will be started soon and should be ready to ship in about two months. The recent lag was due to the time I needed to set up the LLC, website, and work on some other items.

And, by the time these puppies are ready to ship, I will have my GMS OIL COOLER PACKAGE assembled, tested and ready to ship also!!!

I am excited to share that I have partnered with CSF and Improved Racing to supply some of the best cooling products on the market. That starts with a MASSIVE 5" tall x 22" wide DUAL PASS, Bar / Plate designed cooler core that will mount right at the top of the GMS HIGH FLOW IMPACT BAR, allowing retention of ALL existing coolers, without covering the main HX.

Delivery products include IMPROVED RACING's Block Off Plate, and remote high flow thermostat!

Together this will provided some massive improvements in performance and COST! Initial calculations show a 20-25% cost savings when purchased as a turn-key kit!

A few images below... I will be installing on my car soon, and will bring you along for the ride as always!

What do you think?

Man, it’s tempting to convert my bumper cover to a ZL1 one just so I can run this crash bar!

This is very similar what I did to my car. Only difference is, I used the C&R oil cooler in place of the Aux radiator. I used the same OEM cooler (heater) delete and thermostat.

I am curious to see your results from testing. I may consider switching to this setup. Are you making a bracket that bolts the cooler to the crash bar?

Thanks for the feedback.

I like your set up, but was hoping to be able to keep all of the HX, while running the oil cooler also. YES, I will be making a bracket and selling a kit for people who already have the crash bar

Awesome! I may just add this on top of my current oil cooler. Only thing I would worry about is pressure drop going through 2 coolers.

I agree... I think that would have a noticeable pressure drop. How much did you see with the current cooler?

You could always run mine, and revert back to your AUX rad cooler...
How have your coolant temps been?

or, convert it to another supercharger HX

I honestly didn't notice any oil pressure difference before/after the cooler install. Most people running the C&R cooler still have the OEM cooler in place, so maybe 2 coolers would still be ok. Only 1 way to find out.

My engine coolant temperature is lower now than before deleting the Aux radiator. Deleting the OEM cooler takes a huge amount of heat out of the engine cooling system.

My blower coolant is also doing great on track. I don't get above 130 degrees.

The only thing I really need now is lower oil temperatures. While the C&R cooler did lower my oil temperatures, more is definitely better on track.

Hey guys... most of the parts have arrived for my soon to be released turn-key aux oil cooler kit! Working on test fitting now.

So far, the kit will include...

1. 22" long x 5" tall x 2.25" thick CSF dual pass bar plate super heavy duty oil cooler with matte black coating to match my GMS high flow impact bar. This unit will mount directly to the top of the bar, and sit behind the "flow tie"
2. Improved Racing's block off plate and high flow inline thermostat.
3. Raceflux -10AN braided lines and AN fittings.

This kit will add approx. 1.25L of oil capacity.
Will share more photos and updates later, once it's installed.

PRICING: I am targeting $950 for the base kit (excludes the thermostat and uses a less expensive hose) Buying as a turn-key kit saves you about $125 on parts!!!

The deluxe will run about $1,150 (will include the inline thermostat and upgraded raceflux lightweight braided hose) Buying as a turn-key kit saves you about $150 on parts!!!

I am also going to discount another $75-100 when purchased along with a GMS High Flow Impact Bar!

Thoughts?

Well GABE... you know I feel like I let you down on getting this done but my car has been at www.9LivesRacing.com getting the aero completed which has to be done with the stock impact bar and then yours. I have all the parts to not only add this same oil cooler but swap out the transmission cooler which is prone to failures as well.
