8.90s at 3000 ft?
My goal has been to run 8.90s. However my current build can't do that unless the DA is below 1000 ft. Chances of being able to race at that altitude are very slim. Therefore, I'm asking which modifications can I make from where I am right now to get there. I'll need at least 100 hp.
My build is pretty straightforward. A 390 with a ported 2650 on 100 octane and FBO. Port injection, Whipple 3.0, change to Eth, N2O with fuel system, meth, or ?

Or, find a way to get some weight out if the car (not my preference either!).

What about a Whipple 3.0

You need a fuel system that supports full E85 and methanol.More oxygen is more power. I don’t see the Whipple 3.0 helping you on unleaded.

Also you are mentioning the ET that you are looking for not the mile per hour. I believe the suspension plays a crucial role there. Maybe the converter as well. Maybe I’m wrong but I believe there are a few more things to look at beyond the blower

I suggest you work on your 60' first before thinking about adding more power. My C7 did 8.9 with only ~950 rwhp at +700 DA running ms109. My 60' was 1.29 & launch timing was pretty aggressive

I think nitrous is going to be the easiest way.

I suspect that could do it. I’m making about the same power as you with no blower porting and a conservative blower speed. There’s a lot more left in my 3.0.

A C7 is 300+ lbs. lighter than mine, which ran a 1.35 60 ft. last time out at 3500 ft. I don't see room for a lot of improvement as it sits today.

If you have the head room in your fuel system nitrous might be the easiest way to get there in your current configuration though.

A T400 with a trans-brake would lower the 60 ft. and ET, but would not be enough by itself.
To do nitrous, I'll need this to control the nitrous system, it's for a Holley EFI stand alone Fuel injection system kit https://www.holley.com/products/fuel...parts/VK080000 I'll still need a bottle heater and standalone fuel system because my existing fuel system is already maxed out. My shop has priced this N2O system at $11-12K. I don't believe my current tuner has tuned such a build. I've added info to my sig to help the conversation.

LME 390, E2650, FBO, 100 oct.
1116/967. 1.35/9.25/151 at 3500 ft. 15" conversion/MT ET Street R 325/50R15. Very helpful, you're actually almost there. Have you considered removing any weight?
