I wash my wheels like a whore’s drawers, never had an issue, even in arctic Canada.

The brakes function like they should afterwards. This has happened backing up and going forward.
Yeah, the pads can stick to the rotors if they get wet.

Solution: Don't put it away wet. Drive it around the block to get the water off the brakes.

You should be able to get a leaf blower and blow most of the water out between the pads and rotor. That might work too.

I think its quite odd when I've never heard of any other car doing this, and I've owned a LOT of performance vehicles, domestic, foreign and exotic.

Yeah same, I wonder if it's something with the compound of the brake pads(?) But even then these can't be the only cars with these. I thought possibly it was my calipers seizing for some reason, but I'm glad to hear that isn't the case.

This is what I do.
Mine stuck once after a wash, because I pulled it straight into the garage and it sat for 2 days. Now it gets a 1/2 mile trip around the block and no issue.
