Thanks I appreciate you for watching the video! I agree! I really thought about getting the ZL1 version since it a tad lighter than this one but i felt like this hood fit this body style better. Glad I went with this option.

My Anderson Composite trunk finally came in and it’s extremely light as you already know but this will complete the back half of the car. It’s safe to say I’m completely satisfied with the exterior of this build so far. Next step is to get it clear coated and ceramic coated

thanks I appreciate! I just checked yours out as well. I must say I am jealous you scored a Rally Green ZL1. That's one of my favorite colors out of the color spectrum GM produced. I usually don't go for dark greens but that one is special! Nice thread you got going there too! Sad to see the Miata go since I know that's a fun canyon carver.

So Fathers Day was better than I expected, I got an Antigravity Battery! Man this I must say is the best weight reduction mod I have ever owned, I can’t believe this battery weigh 14lbs and stock is 48lbs! This is huge weight savings along with the other stuff I shared. I can’t believe this battery weight is what my hood and trunk combined and more. Based on what I read on the forums it looks like I am never going back to AGM:Lead based 🔋

Ok I will order one of those! Thats some longevity right there if you had yours for 4 years with no issues. I’m curious to see what my car weigh now with everything once the trunk is added

How do the Antigravity batteries stand up to extreme temps on either end of the spectrum?

it seems to work great in my element. It average 105* where I’m at in AZ and it cranks without any problem, I don’t foresee this being an issue in my climate. However if you live in a cold state and your car sits in the winter time below freezing temps this battery wouldn’t be the best since Lithium doesn’t do well in the cold. This just based on my recent research. Other forums members may have more experience and the battery longer. I only had it for a few days so far

Finally got my Carbon Fiber clear coated with a little custom spray and removed the 1LE spoiler with fins and it looks really good! The fins left on here before I removed them but you see the vision lol. Overall the trunk is really light and the gas struts seems to over power the trunk so I may remove those later but overall I like how everything came together. I’ll get fenders down the road but for now this is the most weight reduction I will do for a street/track car. The next step is improving as a driver and knocking down lap times. I’ll add interior stuff like carbon fiber to enhance it a bit.

Well the time has come, I have officially weighed my car again with little less than a half tank in the car as posted in the pic. She sitting at a solid 3500lbs

It's still a comfortable street car without any lack of comfort or Kirkey seat.

I am thinking the next level would be doors and fenders but I don't believe I would go that far. Possibly a race seat, who knows. I would do the doors but they're not street legal based on research and require a roll cage and absorber and I don't want to do that yet.

I don't know why my pics is starting to turn side ways all of sudden but this how she sits.

Anyway it crazy to think my car weigh as much as a C8 Corvette Stingray/C7 ZR1 and it's not even dry weight which I think they post for their numbers. Power to Weight Ratio is coming along

When the pics I post from my iPhone turn sideways I crop a little off the top and bottom and repost them. Works every time.
