It's cool that these engines were built in the Corvette plant in Bowling Green, but I guess it's fitting since this engine was once used in the Corvette.
It reminds us of just how special the LT4 is. |

It's very interesting to note, at least to me, that the first post shows the name plaques pre-made with the name already sublimated onto the substrate, and that the later ones use an actual diamond drag to engrave into the substrate aluminum (which actually probably isn't made for that). Engraving and mementoes are actually my background. Started as an intern in an engraving shop back in 1987 March. Bought into Rafyo Engraving in 2000, and am the Founder of Far East Engravers out of Okinawa, Japan that I sold to my manager about 9 years ago.. I love this kind of custom memento. The fact that GM was using diamond drag means they didn't want to get caught with a 1000 placards with the wrong, obsolete, or inaccurate name on it. The nice thing about the diamond drag is it won't wear off. The letters are pretty thin on some of the sublimated letters. So don't wipe it hard with any type of solvent, or you'll be soon missing letters.
