After I get done moving, I will go over the whole car and reseat all the connections. Hopefully it will drive 2.5 hours without issue.

What skip shift eliminator do you use? Is it literally just from skipshifteliminator.com like google points me to? Just seems so inexpensive, I'm used to getting bent over for parts I guess...

I got this one but looks like it's not sold anymore, at least not on amazon.

Thankfully don't need it on my '24, but when I was shopping for used I believe Phastek carries one that is ~$25. |

Is the one I linked decent looking though? They all seem to look pretty basic anyway I guess. I mean, $20, why not.

All it is is a resistor to trick the computer into thinking the skip shift lockout solenoid is still connected. It doesn't stop the message from appearing, it just blocks the signal to the solenoid.

I kind of expected the messages to stay, as the light on my older cars always still activated. It turns from an annoying message to a comforting message. Comforting because you know your transmission isn't trying to screw with you just trying to shift normally to 2nd Edit: Ordered. I feel better already

With a '23, do you need it? I have a '24 and I have yet to encounter it stopping me from shifting normally. I thought I remember reading the last few model years made skip shift a notification but didn't lockout the gears, whereas prior to the refresh it was the lockout and the notification. Maybe I'm wrong though. I just haven't encountered it, and it was a big concern for me when I was shopping for used cars. |
