Hey neat! Just today I thought about maybe doing a similar thing by starting the stripe from the hood vent.

Have you worked with vinyl before this? How hard/easy is it to work with?

It’s actually very easy. Of course, it takes a bit of practice and some patience, as well as the right product(s). I’ve worked with vinyl about 10 times (small projects, hoods, trunks and spoilers) Some of those times were just practice or do overs from mistakes. And or, I just didn’t like color / design after complete. I pulled the vinyl from last night and am trying a different design and color. I like 3M 2080, as it’s very forgiving.

If you plan on doing your hood, check out a YouTube video on the subject. Buy some extra Vinyl and knifeless tape and practice. Laying down equal radiuses is the most difficult part. The knifeless tape can be pulled up and reset many times before it won’t stick.

This is my latest design rendition (a quicky, just to check it out).

Good luck.

Went over to the storage unit to check in on her. Got a good rain yesterday to get a lot of the salt off the roads... Looking at the extended forecast it looks like spring may be here early this year.

Congratulations man! I know spring coming has to feel good for those of you who have to put your cars away for the winter. I don't know how you do it. I'm glad I live where that isn't an issue.

It does suck, I won't lie... as I store both my car and motorcycle. So spring is like getting new toys all over again.

Its so tempting to take the cars out now, but it just doesn't feel right until at bare minimum April hits. I am heading down to Lake Geneva in 2 weeks and pondered taking the ZL1 down there

Got some GM OEM pearl white hashmark decals with the embossed Camaro logos thanks to a fellow forum member here and love the look they add with the stripes!

I normally do wait until April, but man... this year it's been such a mild winter. That being said, there has been just enough snow falls to keep the city around here dumping the salt and brine on the roads. Just yesterday you could still see all the tire tracks in the white salt covered roads. This AM (after last nights rain) they look pretty good now. I'll wait for 1 more good rain. (If we don't get anymore snow!) It is only the beginning of March. Lake Geneva is a nice area.

Lol, this is me right now.

Next week is looking like the time. A whole bunch of rain to wash the crap off the road, then immediately nice warm weather.

I'll be doing a scouting mission in my truck before hand to make the roads are clean, but things are lookin good!

We have had 4 days in the 70's here in Michigan. I put insurance back on mine a few weeks earlier than usual.

Really nice weather for this time of year and looks like it is going to stay warmer than normal.
