I used a modeling knife to get behind it and work it off slowly. It will bend if you just go at prying on it. Then used 3M 50lb "tape" to attach it to the core support under the Chevrolet "plaque". It's not very difficult at all to remove the cover and work on it at a table. Also moved it as I changed to the LT2 IM and LT5 TB.

After lurking for a little, this topic caught my attention and I had to check my recently purchased 2020 SS M6. Low and behold, another Latrice Carothers built engine.
Thanks Latrice, it runs strong!

I considered relocating it but ended up finding a place that could make a replica. (slightly larger than the 'real' one by my request)

It looks good!

Out of curiosity where did you find the place to make a replica?

Your Vette intake looks good. Can you remove those studs for the old intake cover? That would clean up your engine bay even more.

I contacted https://anchor-room.com/ and showed them a picture of what I wanted. They worked up an example and sent it to me for approval over email.

I also had them make that plate I put on the strut tower brace.

Found it!
Popped it off with plastic trim tool. Moved to the proper spot with some new double sided duct tape.

Looks a bit strange to me... the plaque was attached to the engine in the first place because the builder assembled the engine, not the entire car...

I thought that's where they are placed for the other lt4's made in bowling green. Now I see there's a spot for it. If I have to swap the engine I guess I'll have to remove it.
