What do I need to install long tube headers and stay emissions safe, NC.

I have had my SS for about a year now. I have enjoyed every mile of it. The car has been solid, no mechanical issues. I am looking for a bit more power and a bit more sound. I want to install long tube headers. I know this will need a tune. I may attempt the install myself or I will take it to a shop that will also tune it. What I want to know is what I need to make sure I don't have issues when it comes to inspection and emissions. I will need catalytic converters for sure. From all the systems I am looking at, it will just replace the secondary cat position with the new primary. Kooks has 1 7/8 with high flow catted connections. As far as having a working exhaust after this is installed, do I need anything else? Will I need any other exhaust work to connect this system with the catted connections up the the rest of the stock NPP exhaust? I understand the stock exhaust will need to be cut to fit this. Thanks in advance for any answers.

One of my first mods was 2" TSP headers (ceramic coated). Took stock 2SS ~385 rwhp to ~430 rwhp with a tune. I kept the stock suitcase exhaust at that time, but went with a 'y' pipe and high flow cats. I also added a flex fuel kit at that time.
Make sure you heat wrap those wires on the left side of the engine compartment as they are close to the headers (seen lots of wiring burnt up on this forum) and tie them close to the firewall as you can.

How do you like the fitment of your TSP 2" longtube headers?
