Waze speed wrong?
I have a 2017 2LT Camaro RS and when i use Waze, the speed displayed is about half what my actual speed is.
I've tried it with 2 different Iphones (8+ and 14 pro) and the speed is consistently half of my actual speed When I use the same phones on my other cars (2022 C8 and 2021 Ram), the speed is correct so it seems like the phones are fine Any suggestions/fixes? |

Mine too. But in my wifes Buick, it's spot on. Go figure.

It's a known CarPlay glitch.

My first 2016 was fine, my second one does this most of the time too. It isn't just in Waze, it's any GPS speedometer app. Sometimes you can un-tether the phone while driving and then plug it back in and it will work correctly. No one wants to claim responsibility for it (GM says its Apple's problem/Apple says it's GM's) but the same phone worked correctly on one 2016 Camaro but not on another. I gave up and don't worry about the Waze speedometer anymore

I've been having a similar issue with CarPlay navigation on the Pioneer head unit in my truck. It is all kinds of wonky. It thinks I'm driving the opposite direction I'm actually heading, constantly tells me to proceed to the route, and tells me to make 90 degree turns to side streets when I'm driving down the freeway at 70mph. It genuinely has no idea where I am. It's unique to my truck because nav with the same phone works great in the Camaro. I don't really know what to do to resolve the issue.
