I think the problem there is the factory LS3 one is 194 degrees so that’s why everyone runs the Motorad 523160 one since you can get it in 160 degree set point.

Yes, I understand the different degree options. I would just like a factory one on hand, if I recall I think they have 187°. I have read they are possibly more reliable. And a spare on hand never hurts no matter what the degree setpoint is, I don’t track my car I just didn’t want a plastic housing.

AGAIN, that uses the LS thermostat. OP specifically stated he wanted to use the LT style thermostat.

THAT IS AN LS THERMOSTAT. Look at an LT thermostat and then look at an LS thermostat, then we can continue the conversation. They’re using a custom thermostat housing to allow the use of LS thermostats on an LT engine since the low temp LT ones are either not available or not reliable. So what you posted is literally the same as every other aftermarket housing…they all use LS thermostats.

BTR LT4 thermostat housing $79.00 bucks, $20 more with the T-stat included. It's your money? But for $100-200 less you can save that $ or put it somewhere else.

Sure you can get a more expensive one, but a leave it like so, sand it a little or whatever, but at the end of the day it's under the hood polished with dust, or plastic with dust, or aluminum with dust !
