Aluminum LT4 Thermostat housing

Does anybody know where to get an Aluminum Housing that takes the LT Thermostat. I'd really like to change out my plastic piece especially since I got spacers for the supercharger. However, damn near everybody has the housing that uses the LS Thermostat, and I already have a Brand new low temp Thermostat for the LT4 stock housing.

That uses the LS3 thermostat, not the LT. OP wants to use his LT thermostat.

OP: every aftermarket aluminum thermostat housing uses the LS thermostat. Sorry!

This right here.

They don't make LT aluminum housing stats because the LT design sucks. That's just really all there is to it. Lol.

The T-stat that comes with some of these housings as well as one design from MotoRad can stick closed. I bought my housing stat combo from AMP. The neck for the big hose is machined a bit too small so the factory hose clamp has to be replaced for a screw type so you can get enough clamping force to prevent leaks.

There's another thread on here about t-stat problems with aftermarket necks BTW. I installed mine a week before a HPDE day, drove it several days, and it was OK for the first 2 race sessions. 3rd session after 2 laps into the 3rd session it stuck, then opened when I let off the car and the temp went down, ran another lap and it stuck again. I had brought the original GM with me so I swapped it out and everything was fine. From what I could find on the other thread, the Factory GM LS3 is the stat to use. I havent bought one yet though.

If you look at the pick of the bottom of the t-stat in that link, you can see the stat is cupped with what looks to be stand offs formed on it. The other moto-rad design for a 2006 GTO is a flat piece with several holes punched into it.

Moto-Rad makes 2 slightly different designs of these t-stats. I didnt try the one with the flat disk with holes in it.

All of my explanations are educational and informative! It's just that some are better than others is all.

Does anybody know the part number for the factory GM LS3 thermostat? I would like to order one as a spare on hand in case the motorad 180 craps out. Thanks.
