Factory wheel gap

Hi all. I have noticed that every single dealership photo of either a 6 cyl or 8 cyl shows they have much more wheel gap in the front than the rear. I have owned a number of newer and older cars over the decades and none of them have reverse gap. Trucks mini vans sport cars passenger cars all have rear ends that sit higher for obvious load reasons. I heard that when they ship the cars the use some blocks or something in the coils. I find it hard to believe that every dealer leaves those in. Do they give test drives with them? Just curious what the deal is.

If there is that huge gap in the front that's all that means, the dealer left the block in. I think with a lot of listings they use a stock photo of a Camaro that has those gaps.

Also not only do dealerships leave them in, some of them don't even know they are there at all. They sell the cars with the shipping blocks on them and people drive it like that for months without noticing.

Are they actual dealer photos, or the "stock" AI rendering like the one attached that typically are shown when looking up inventory?

They looked like they were real pics taken in the car lots. Some looked like the one you posted, which almost looks like a photo shop. Dunno.

The one he posted is a photoshop. It's a typical dealership stock photo for cars either they haven't taken pictures of or they are awaiting it's arrival. Generally, dealers will then take photos and upload. Some are extremely lazy too....and sometimes the car is sold before it arrives...

However, what they are describing does in fact happen as many cars are removed from the trailer and photographed before anything usually happens to them. It does vary from dealer to dealer however..

My 2023 V6 2LT sits very high in the front. No spacers found in front springs as some have said dealer may have forgot to remove. Drives me crazy as rear sits fine for me.
