Whine and the rain diverter

Assuming all the usual mods like a Rotofab and pulling the sound dampening plate from the SC lid, has any one then pulled that rain diverter from the hood insert to get more S/C whine outside the car? Just curious because it's dead of winter and I'm on winter tires and Im tossing around ideas in my head.

I removed the rain diverter the day I purchased the car and only replace the rain diverter when washing my car. I don't notice any noticeable whine increase with it either in or out. I have heard people that switch to an aftermarket billet lid notice an influx of wine though.

Ditto.

Unless you port the blower, get a bigger CAI, go to a billet lid, increase boost through pulleys, for the most part, you won't get much more sound outside what has already been done. There was a difference in sound going from a standard RF to the BG, but a billet lid REALLY increased the whine.

Part of the reason goes with Eaton blowers is they are also designed to be relatively quiet.

I removed mine a year ago, even washing the car is never an issue with it off.
