alignment warranty
so my 2023 zl1 purchased this August has 900 miles and the local dealer refused to check and set my alignment under warranty. So my question is under the first year and under 7500 miles is it under warranty to get the alignment? I showed the dealer
Factory Alignment Warranty - CAMARO6. PSA - GM only covers the factory alignment on these cars up to 7,500 miles. To no avail and left with my 500 mile oil change and no alignment done. |

Alignment is covered if there is a problem not just because you want one. I believe it’s minimum of 750 miles and within 1yr. I don’t recall the max mileage but there is one.they have to call it in and get special approval in the system.

a alignment is a funny area because by the time you notice your tires are worn out and then find out your alignment is off you are out a set of tires. Thanks for the info and will be taking it in with a problem.

For them to do it, they have to replace certain bolts that are technically 1 time use and most dealers don't have them in stock. |

The top of the rear tires are canted inward and the car drifts it is a constant correction with no wind-if they have to replace bolts-shims etc it would be for a correction in the alignment.

If they still won't do it, find another stealership that will honor the warranty and do the work. You are under zero obligation to keep going to the stealership you bought the car at. |

Not trying to be a smart ass but have you driven cars with wide tires before? I live in Florida as well and the ruts in the road tend to move the car around a bit will driving, the camaro does not tram as bad as the mustang but it still does it a bit.

Most dealers I know of can do a quick alignment check right where you drop off your car off for service. If your ZL1 is within specs then what you're expericencing is trammeling from the wide tires. Just make sure the dealer uses the specs for the FE4 suspension in the ZL1.

Most shops will put it on the rack and check it at no cost. In my area, anyway. Back before that it was $40 to check it and $40 more to align if needed. This is a pretty simple thing to get done, surprising that they wouldn't even check it.

Good alignment will minimize tramlining even with wide tires.
I'm running 305s in the rear (earlier I also had 315s for a season or two), 285s in the front, and the car hardly wanders even on roads with significant crowns. One can let go of the steering wheel for an eighth or even a quarter mile and the car will still track straight before it follows the crown.

My dealer does free alignment checks and mine was adjusted under warranty. I didn’t even buy the car from them - had to go out of state to purchase. Didn’t know my alignment was off they check it for everyone.
