Ravelco Anti-Theft Device
Hello,
Anyone on here with the Ravelco Anti-theft device on their Gen6 Camaro? Or simply tried it out? |

How exactly do you 'try it out'? I've seen them on a handful of cars that I have worked on back in the 90's, but honestly didn't know they were still in business.

At that point why not just add a kill switch?

I just installed one two weeks ago. It was an easy process - couple hours after ordering online, they called to schedule installation and they were friendly in finding dates and times that worked with my schedule. After a week, their technician arrived and installed in about 2 hours. They get sent instructions upon arrival, and he asked me to confirm where and how I want it mounted (I did flush on the left side). He didn't even want me to look how he was routing the wires, and said they do it differently for each car.
Anyway, it's a nice peace of mind. I live in a nice area and garage it, but want as many layers of deterrent I can get. |

Isn't it just an interrupter for the fuel pump, or starter or ignition circuits, with a key? Basically a kill switch in plain view with a key?
Or am I missing something here? |

And its more of a multi point plug than a key. There is no way to look at the receiver and figure out a jumper combination. Its pretty much fool proof. I had one installed on my Chevy SS. Have yet to do it on my Camaro. Maybe this year. |
