dammit those look good!

I’ve seriously considered bronze on my American 920s, I think a bronze wheel looks good with silver so……

Something about bronze wheels is nostalgic in a way, reminds me of old race cars where the magnesium wheels have tarnished a bronze color.

That looks really good! Can't wait to see them on the car. If you don't mind my asking, what did it cost you to have the rims powder coated with the paint supplies etc?

So i decided to install my front control arm prothan inserts and noticed zl1’s have the z28 control arms. That was a surprise to me. Z28 was stamped into the arm. I also put one bronze wheel on to check it out.

If anyone is wondering the weight of a factory zl1 rim with a tire and a race star 18x8” rim and tire. I weighed them for comparison.

Zl1 rim 61.8lbs
Race star 54.4lbs

Thank you. I’m not sold on the matte black center cap. I think it should be gloss. I tried the color match bronze and it was way off, not even close was more orange than bronze.

Looks very nice. I agree, the matte black isn't doing the wheel justice. Gloss would for sure be better!

You should ask your powdercoater if they do low temp coating, and see if they can do the machined caps in your color.

I asked the coater if he can do the caps. He said no because they are plastic. If i can find some metal caps then he can do them. I like the black they just need to be a gloss.

Caps are Cheap try and find gloss Black and see I don't think you should color match them to the rim personally.

I bought Black letters from Amazon and appear to be good quailaty but I had my chrome ones wrapped and I like the look, the front is black and the side of letters are chrome kinda a two tone look.
