defect/Bad battery from the factory
My 3LT collector's edition's battery went out at 1150 miles.
Is this common? Has anybody heard of this? My 2023 1LT has been perfect. thanks

Not common, but not unheard of either. GM buys batteries from a supplier, one of the big battery makers like East Penn, Clairos, etc with the AcDelco label on it. Every now and then there's one with a defect which doesn't last for an expected service life.
Dealer should replace it under warranty. If it keeps happening, then it's probably not the battery and something else is defective. |

Had to check your profile to see what your "collectors edition" was. As a 24, no, the battery should still be good. Batteries generally last 3 years minimum. I'd just get a new one from the dealer, Bumper to Bumper should cover it easily.

I bought a 2022 Chevy Silverado Z71 LTZ in June 2022. Before it had 3000 miles on it Chevy replaced the battery and starter.

Yup. Dropped it off at 11am, gave me a free rental, called at 3:30pm to come pick it up. Me and my daughter had a nice drive 45 miles home in the Panther. I realize it happens; I was just surprised...

Is it his fault or GM's, though? Food for thought.
