Seeing what the best option will be to match my front splitter to the rest of the mosaic black on side skirts and rear defuser.

3M has a gloss black metallic wrap or would painting be better?

Has anyone used the 3M gloss black metallic wrap before?

The splitter is a 1LE matte black , and I want to match it to my ZL1s mosaic black.

I don't know if any one has matched that, I know what you mean in the difference in the two finishes. I've thought if I wanted them to match I'd have to go with neither one and do like a carbon fiber wrap.

I did my whole front end in PPF, then ceramic coat. I really like the stock colors.

You're always better off getting something painted rather than wrapped to try and match.

The 3m gloss metallic black is a near perfect match. I used it on part of my front splitter. Just get the 12" x 5' rolls for around $20. You can do quite alot with those rolls. I did two stripes down my car and didn't even use 2 rolls. Get yourself some knifeless tape too.

I had mine painted mosaic black to match the rest of the skirts.

Rock chips will tear it up if you don’t put PPF on it.
I would do paint because you can touch it up.

I am with you... I hate that the matte hood wrap, doesn't match the satin painted splitter, skirts, mirrors and rear diffuser. So I had my buddy who does wraps all day come over and wrap them all for me in 3M matte black. Looks fantastic, put 2k miles with no issues... Not sure how noticeable it is in the pics... it is subtle. Not say saying wrap is better than paint, was just easier for me. NOTE: he tried to wrap the mirrors but struggled, said they were the hardest mirrors he had ever tried... might need to paint those later.

Agreed, mine is painted and PPF.
