microphone not working
Just bought a 2016 SS and my voice is not being detected; checked mic and wire is connected and its attached to pillar trim. Is there a setting to get it to work or what is fix. I understand these mics suck but my voice isn't being detected with car running and with it off
Any help would be greatly appreciated Last edited by rjgss; 09-30-2023 at 11:44 AM. |

Check and see if the Onstar system is operational. If not, it’s possible the fuse has been pulled under the hood.
I have my Onstar fuse pulled and the side effect is that the microphone no longer works. |

Thanks guys, I thought about a mute button but from what I can tell its the hang up button on the steering wheel. I will research those other ideas, worth a shot

If you're not the first owner, its possible someone's method to interfere with GPS and/or on-star has turned off the mic as an unintended consequence. IIRC they share the same 5V power supply.
