Absolutely smoking a set of stock tires on STOCK power in a summer session isnt that hard, making grip in all phases MUCH worse. GY SC3 is a street tire and will overheat relatively quickly on track at stock power levels. Just like brake pads, if you want them to work well on track, you need appropriate tires that work at the elevated temps you generate there. Even R compound or real race tires have to be managed to keep temps in check. Street tires have no chance on these cars when driven with intent on a race track. ahm |
