I got the regular 2SS because I think the Recaro's are uncomfortable and too restrictive.

Yeah I noticed this when I got my car and I got used to it. I live in South Florida so usually the roads are fine. I'm considering swapping out the tires though because they suck on wet roads.

I honestly would say it's no noisier then any other sports car. Now that I have the damn spacers out the ride should be even better when it's back on the road

Even with them in though, it's been a nice treat from my old lowered super low pro like 1" thick tired sports car I was DDing before.

If you have a 1ss without leather seats then shame on you. If you have an ss with 1LE then you asked for it with those uncomfortable recaros. And finally, is magride really all that great or should you just drive in touring mode all the time ?

I have the Recaros and like the support they provide for my back enough to sit in them for 40,000 miles. I remember sliding around a lot in my 1LT with base trim fabric seats but still comfortable enough for 100k. How bad are the leather 2SS seats?

I did change from my stock 245 runflats to traditional tires…whatever you do, don’t go cheap on the tires…after 11k miles these Korean brand Kumhos have little traction…

My only beefs?

Not enough factory recline
No lumbar bladder

Both are miniscule setbacks but worth mentioning.
I'm old (60+) and I fit inside nicely.
ez ingress/ egress and visibility is good enough

I have a 2022 1LE 6-speed on Contintental DWS06+ tires, and the car has been an absolute joy on long road trips. Really comfortable for long runs.

These are both fixable: there are several threads here on removing the stud that prevents full recline, and power lumbar adjustment can be added using this unit, for example (someone has already done that here, too).

I already purchased the GM SUV power lumbar switches to make the setup look 100% OEM, just need to find the mental energy to pop the seats and install them

So....a bit of an update....

This car was junk
For those that don't remember it was a rally green 2020 2SS with 31K on it.

Drove it off the lot and it was not safe...

Dealership has had it for almost 3 months. NO you didn't read that incorrectly.
We bought it in September!!!

My lawyer stated they need to be able to fix all the issues before we file a suit.

Dealership decided to cut their losses at over 14K for repairs including some bodywork...

My wife will not ever set foot in the car again.

The dealership offered to buy the car back.

We have accepted that offer.

to be continued... still need a car lol and sold my 1979 Camaro to get this...UGH

Used car with 30k miles, and came with mis-matched cheap chinese tires, and blown struts. It was probably wrecked and re-built. Glad you were able to get out of it. They drive very well when new off the showroom floor.

Never cared for 20" + wheels or run flats. Not a fad I'm fond of! Harsher ride. I have 18" on mine. Higher profile tires look great and ride much better.

I didn't buy my Camaro to track. None the less, no professional racing that I'm aware of use low profile tires and they have far more torque than any Camaro. Contact area is what's needed for traction.
