2024 2SS 1LE in Riptide Blue A/T
Long story short. I've had my '23 1SS 1LE 6sp for about 4 months now, fantastic car. However, my local dealer had a spot for a 2024 so I decided to build up a 2SS just to see if it would ever get picked up. To my surprise, he called me up on Tuesday and said "It's Here". So here's my dilemma....
Plus side.... Love the new Riptide Blue, final year of Camaro production, has the extra 2SS equipment. Down side.... A10 trans (really love my manual), $60k msrp that is really hard to swallow. The car is mine until Monday, but now sure that I can pull the trigger on it. Suggestions?? |

Just me but I'd much rather have a 1SS M6 over a 2SS A10.

How much are the giving you on your trade? The first year of depreciation is pretty brutal.

I was hesitant about moving from the M6 to the A10 but I have no regrets. The 10 speed is amazing. It's one less thing I have to worry about on track days.

No market adjustment on the car. MSRP is what they're offering me. The car is a 1LE package with the A10. And of course according to the little podunk dealer in Middle Tennessee my 4 month old car has depreciated $9,000. Tough to swallow that hit.

Stick with your 23. Otherwise you'll be losing on both ends (higher MSRP on the 24 plus the $9K loss on the 23). |

Same. OP I'd stick to your M6. If it's not a daily you won't miss the 2ss features much.
Also 9k is a brutal hit especially knowing damn well they will sell your 1le for probably only 2k off the original MSRP. I really wouldn't do this trade especially if you're a manual guy like me. I know I'd regret the A10.

The auto is a deal killer, never drove a Camaro with an A10 but my Sierra has one and it drives me crazy if I get on it, the RPM overhang is annoying. 60K was ZL1 territory not long ago, hard pass.

I definitely wouldn't take that hit on trade....... plenty of buyers out there for a 5k mile 1LE 6 speed. Don't think I'm going to do it, but if someone is interested in it, DM me. I'll give you details of the car and dealer information.

I too have a 6.2 Silverado TrailBoss with the 10 speed as well as a ZL1 with the 10 speed. I can tell you from personal experience they are the same transmission but in no way perform the same. I have ZERO RPM overhang in the Camaro. The ZL1 A10 is tuned differently or something because it's night and day difference between the truck shifting and the ZL1 shifting. YES, I'm also well aware it's apples to oranges(5,000lb truck vs 3,900lb sports car). ZL1 is just simply is faster, although I agree with everyone else that the M6 is more engaging. Just saying...don't sleep on the A10. If I could have both the M6 and the A10...that'd be a dream
