Anybody running Yokohama AD09?

Yokohama AD09s are now available in the SS 1LE OEM fitment sizes:
285/30R20 & 305/30R20.

Does anybody have any experience with these tires?
How do they compare to GY SC3s?

My typical use is autox & track days.

You've probably seen this already, but the Tire Rack Track Test makes the AD09 appear to be similar in intent and speed to the Continental EC Force. That means good grips, takes heat well, lasts a long time on track, but will not be especially fast for autocross runs...especially when you don't have a codriver and lots of runs to get them hot. I wish they'd included the SC3 as a reference, but they also seem to fall into that general description. You can kind of infer this by also reading the results of the comparison test they did that include the SC3.

Thanks, I've seen those tests & as you said, there's no direct comparison with the GY SC3s. I think the AD09s will be better in the wet & if they're equal in the dry then it's a win. Still haven't committed to trying a set yet. May need to bite the bullet on different rims but I have the OEM 1LE wheels and a set of ZL1 rims as well so I'm trying to stay with the 20" sizes but options are limited!

I agree it's very possible that the AD09 is better in the wet, and that would be a win. Offsetting that, possibly, is the extra cost to purchase them. The big unknown is which tire will last longer. The Goodyears are quite good in this regard. We have no idea about the Yoks.
