Exactly.

I'm not going to drive a performance car that reminds of the color of asphalt or the other colors from the B&W spectrum that seem to dominate the sea of vehicles we see on roads during our ho-hum daily commuting.

I got me a darker "caught red handed" garnet color because it looks royal and has metallic flakes unlike the standard, somewhat cartoonish "pull me over" red, but I agree, a gray Camaro doesn't look too special.
