I wouldn't trust dealerships, who knows what type of oil they used. Also check your coolant reservoir tank, the one below the one that is full.

It looks like it's not at the right level, it should be halfway up in the lower tank, if it's low you need to add some.

The cool thing was that I was in the bay with the techs so I saw the Mobil 1 that they were putting in. I do all my own service work (oil, brakes, clutches, etc.) but as this was free and I wanted them to go over some potential warranty work, I took my car there.

You definitely want to take advantage of that one free oil change. I do my own work to, but I did use my free oil change at 1,500 miles. Did the first one myself at 500 and the third one at 4,000.

We’ll, you have to imagine at least a few shady dealership service departments out there. I would suggest new buyers check the service department out and ask a few questions to be sure they’re happy leaving they’re new baby with strangers. It might be best/safer to spend the $50 and do it themselves.

I agree that you should check out the service department first, but I think most dealerships can get an oil change right. And you aren't going to change the oil in an V8 Camaro for $50, not with Mobil 1 anyway.

I see this $43 box at Costco but that’s only 6 quarts and EU formula. Is there a 10 quart box I’m missing somewhere?

I just bought 10 qts of Supercar 0-40W and a filter from Speedway Motors for $150 including shipping and taxes. Ouch.

Installed a storage pouch on the Transmission tunnel, one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do deciding where to put it! What a great little mod that I noticed in some of the other members photos

Not 10 quarts though. Nor Dexos 2. Like I said before you aren't going to change the oil in an LT V8 for $50.

Whoa, shop around... that should be around $100 to $120 with a filter.

A comically small filter

Just make sure your comically small filter no matter what brand it is is running at roughly 22 on the bypass if on warranty
