Probably the smartest decision they did on that 2019 refresh... getting rid of the A8 issues and going with the more reliable transmission....

Not even one bump in performance. I mean not that its was bad but still could have done something to make us want to upgrade.

I would say if you are going for an Automatic, DEFINITELY go for the A10 transmission... I think it was available in the SS in 2019 and on the SS 1LE in 2021... I would stay away from the older A8 transmission...

The Edmunds 2016 review quite good . For later years, they tweaked it a bit being as the car stayed relatively unchanged.Boiler plate as they say.
As far as the automatic trans, the change to the newer 10 speed was a step in the right direction. My 1964 and 1966 Chevelles had Powerglides, a two speed. Back in the 60s, we'd say slip and slide with Powerglide. But after properly modified, the race guys loved them at the drags . The best, IMO, was the 3 speed Turbo Hydramatic 400. Today it would never cut it for economy standards, but it could withstand big block power. Thanks to all who have contributed. |

Every year the price goes up. Also, the factory and dealer incentives change, as do financing terms. Cheers

If there's a coffee table book about the 6gen camaro, highlighting the development but also changes throughout the years, I'd def. be interested.

The rear view mirror camera on the ZLE (2021?)

Witness Stellantis and what they did. You maybe too young to remember, but in 1971 GM cut the compression ratios on all V8s, small and big block. A move made to allow engines to run no lead and low lead gas. Lead was a big concern. Along with that move came tumbling horsepower. From 1971- to the late 80s, horsepower dropped (seemingly)annually-mainly due to catalytic converters and a change in horsepower measuring from gross to an SAE net rating system. All car guys were also upset to see engine displacement drop, too. So, looking at the bright side , at least the engines weren't detuned from 2016-2024. |

I prefer the '16 to '18 SS looks and its exhaust sound without the crackle and pops. Also I like the universal garage control which disappeared after those years. The only thing that I envy from the '19+... years is the hood buldge with the center air intake which looks very cool, I don't know if you could add it to the '16-'18 Camaro
