I had ordered 2 sets of the red knee pads and both times they have arrived damaged to the dealer. They were well packed but they put the clip against another pad and it left an impression on them.

I believe with 2021+ Camaros if you order the red knee pads they replace the original ones completely at the factory. Prior to 2021 model year they would ship them with the car and be dealer installed so you would get both sets. 2021 and up you just got the one set.

I regretted getting the red knee bolsters for my ZL1 as they are thin hard leather and didn't match the rest of my interior. Swapped them out soon after with custom red Alcantara ones

Heh, you haven't touched the 1SS plastic kneebreakers if you think the red kneepads are "thin hard leather" That aside, though, indeed GM went scroogey with the padding on these. The two red leather pads for the door panels are much better.

If you want the custom look and want different you might check with Kropscomaro16 he does a great job and the cost is good he did mine sometime back,

Haven’t seen a single complaint and his work looks top notch. I keep holding myself back from getting pieces made from him but I’ll cave one day

As much as I’d like to think so, if he did he’d still be here. His best shot was when that dealer got the car built to his exact spec and he didn’t buy it
