"High Speed Oval at Germany’s Automotive Testing Papenburg GmBH proving ground. Compensating for wind speed, the top speed is the average achieved from running the ZL1 in both directions on the 7.6-mile (12.3 km) loop — 202.3 mph in one direction and 193.3 mph in the other direction.

In fact, top speed on ZL1 1LE doesn't exceed 180 because of the wing.

"Aero Package May Enhance Handling, But It Cripples The Camaro ZL1 1LE’s Top Speed".

Yeah to each his own, dive planes are my favorite part. Wicked and real.

Since they added all the other aero stuff from the 1LE I'd wager they would have added them but went with the lights instead, know your audience logic. Again a bit of a compromise between a track car and a street car. I don't think many people buying the CE are going to track their cars, but lots will drive them on the street every weekend and take them on road trips including night driving.

True but look at how many ZL1 1LE's will never see a road course because their owners want the meanest looking or most track capable Camaro ever.

They also could have just not added it to confuse people in thinking its a 1LE. But most people see the wing and think its a 1LE anyways.

Agreed. Dive planes are great on a track car but I think they look poserish(is that even a word?) on a street car. The CE isn't a track car so they are useless.

I don't even like the 1LE wing on this car though.

Collector's edition is a joke! it's not worth it's MSRP let alone with a markup.

I think my car was 1 of 272 in Canada, might've even been even less than that. It's a 2019 Black ZL1 A10.
If GM had dropped in the LT5 or the LT6 with DCT then yes it totally would've been a collector.

To each their own. Personally I wouldn't buy a 4 cyl, V6 or LT1 Camaro, even if they were on for 75% off, it's just not what I am willing to spend my money on. My dealer offered me an allocation on a 2SS after waiting almost a year for a ZL1 allocation, I turned it down because it wasn't what I wanted. I found a CE that wasn't taken but I wanted an orange ZL1, but my wife liked the matte black so we decided to go for it. Even though it was almost twice as much as a 2SS, or I could have bought 3 1LT cars and had money left over. Value is in the eye of the beholder, and what you find appealing others may not. It's only worth what someone is willing to pay, and judging by how hard it is to get a ZL1 CE I think they are going to hold their value better than a shock ZL1 even though more were made. Just my opinion.

I'd take an LT1 Camaro if it was 75% off and brand new! Same power, same engine, same suspension, same front brakes and same transmissions as the 1SS and 2SS (not talking about the 1LE 2SS). I could care less about the cloth seats or tiny screen.

I could take all that money I'd save and build either 1 hell of a road course car or one hell of a straight line car and probably still have less in it than a ZL1 or 2SS.

Guys, different strokes for different folks. It’s great to have options and if people love the CE Camaro, I think Chevrolet has done its job appeasing a group of people that appreciate it. Not sure why anyone is knocking it especially when a fellow owner is sharing their excitement.

I agree with you on the different strokes thing and for those that got a CE that wanted one. I'm not KNOCKING anyone at all. I'm happy for ANYONE on here who HAS a Camaro or got one that they wanted regardless of trim. I do believe however, that GM/Chevrolet did a PI$$ poor job at a "final send-off" for our Camaro. They made a new color paint, added a wing, painted some calipers, mustered up some new badges and assigned numbers to the cars. Then the added the 15k price tag for those "extras". ZERO powertrain upgrade, handling or braking performance added to the car. I FEEL that most of us were HOPING for something more and me personally can not justify paying 90k+ for a CE when my 2023 Z that I paid 67k for will go just as fast, handle just as good, and brake the same way as the ZL1 CE will. Again, I am HAPPY for those that got/get what they want. They are ALL badass cars, I think it's more of disappointment from the people than anything. I know I'm not knocking anyone for getting a CE. THE MORE Camaros out there getting seen, the better!!!!
