Inspected my 4 MRR 017 and aftermarket Panther Black Metallic Tintcoat paint
You’d think a radial arm saw placed 50’ away outside in the driveway wouldn’t send dust around a corner inside garage but nooooo.
Having seen paint issues with MRR wheels in a video review, I though I’d comment how mine were. 3 of the MRR were flawless but one had two minor paint rub marks on extreme outside of rim lip. May have been from rubbing in shipping box as some dweeb didn’t cut the cushioning material in a big enough square to cover the entire wheel during shipping. The MRR paint is also noticeably rougher than factory LE1 wheels which feel nice and smooth. When I swap to the OEM rims next summer, I likely will wet sand the MRRs and maybe spray with an appropriate low luster clear. I don’t know how noticeable the luster difference is when in outside light. |

Nope, did it dry, I found a video on YouTube that explained how to do it with blue painters tape and you trim it as close as possible. Get it lined up and then peel one side of the backing, lay it down with a squeegee and then work the rest of the backing off.
