I picked up my 2SS CE Convertible today. It was built the last week of Aug. Two questions.
How many CEs will be built and how can I find out what number mine might be.

Only the ZL1 CEs are numbered since they're only making 350 of them, I don't believe the SS CEs are getting numbered

That is my understanding as well. I thought I read somewhere that if the demand was there they would build a couple thousand, but none are numbered.

They aren't numbered, but I will have all the 24 build information by November. Hoping there are date/time stamps on it so people can figure out what # theirs is

I'm collecting all the window stickers... I have like 165? so far.


If anybody asks, I can figure out which number in the VIN order they have.


Mine is #4 and Tbone98's is #1.


I freaking love mine, even more than my red hot 2023 convertible! LOL

I'm going by VIN, since the CT4 and CT5's are made on the same line, there are a lot of gaps. There is a gap of like 6900 between your car and the most latest VIN I have.



I only got mine on Monday 10/9. Why it sat in Lansing since the build date of 9/13 is beyond me, it doesn't take 3 weeks to stripe it. But it's cool, I did finally get it.



I do have a tri-coat paint defect that I will not get fixed.
(why does GM call it a tintcoat, it's a tri-coat, LOL)

Some interesting last 6 numbers of the VIN:

110666 - 2SS convertible
109999 - 2SS convertible

I'm putting all the option data into a database to create a marti-type report for CE owners...

Out of the first 113 VINs so far:

1 grey interior (Dale Earnhardt Jr. Chevy, 2SS coupe)
2 had the front illuminated bowtie emblem
20% have the polished forged wheels
24% are M6
16% are adrenaline red interior
Most expensive CE car is a 2SS convertible for $70,305

for example....

Putting in the 53 new window stickers to gather more data...

My guess is that defect is the reason that it sat so long. I bet they saw the defect and put it in quality hold and tried to correct.

Doesn't look like they tried or touched anything.... from one side direction on the top of the passenger quarter panel it has a brown hue... but from the other direction it's fine.... I'm too observant.


I don't think many shipped after yours, until mine... the GM inventory would have been updated?

Some chevy dealer youtuber salesman checked the system and came up with about 364 cars total to be built, including 1LT, 2LT, LT1, and 1SS. I have only seen 3LT and 2SS built so far, totally 170 as of today... probably more have been built. I think there will be much less than 500 built at the end of the run...
