Spoiler: use whatever you want, just don't get tricked by the advertising. When I was younger I bought a EXPENSIVE leatherique resto kit that was really for old handmade luxury cars with unfinished leather.
Its a GM product... would you expect anything less.

I use a fine-bristle detail brush set with a portable blower to remove dust/dirt from the cracks and crevices. When the textured surfaces need cleaning, I use coarse-bristle detail brushes and spray the appropriate product into the brush and then work into the textured surface to build a lather, then wipe away with a microfiber towel.

When cleaning carpet, a combination of brushes, compressed air, and a vacuum will get the debris out. If you have candy, or other sugary goodness, a portable steamer can help release the goo without chemicals. And obviously, a handheld wetvac works well for cleaning carpet/fabric.

Couple of damp cheapo microfiber cloths (warm water) for the sticky bits. After that, any modern top-shelf interior leather cleaner should suffice to make it look nice. Meguiars and Adams are both fine.

Did you get the tyke a little Camaro SS model to play with?
