Is it possible to disable the honk on door lock?

Title checks out. Buying my first Camaro and I don't like the "honk on door lock" feature. An easy way to disable it?

Beat me to it.

Also I will add that you have to press it twice for it to honk, so I leave mine on since I can click once nearby to watch and hear it lock, or if I am far away and can't remember if I locked it, I can press twice and hear the honk to confirm it without walking back to the car.

Wait, the Camaro is a 2016 1LT model. Are you sure this is available for the 2016 Camaro?

Yes. The passive door locking was a handy feature that I always used on my 2016 1LT, and I liked having the confirming honk as I walked away, but that audible feedback can also be turned off (as can the auto-locking feature).

As for manual locking, the 2016 1LT fob functions as was already described above - just press the lock button once and you won't get a honk.

Finally, grab the 2016 owner's manual PDF and read all of the portions that apply to your car as equipped - it is a helpful resource!

Thanks! Unfortunately I cannot find that settings on the MyLink 7" screen.
Did you have the 7" or the 8"?

It was the 7" screen. I took photos of all my settings on my '16 to transfer over to my '21 - see photos below for the menus you need to step through to get to the setting you are looking for:

Settings > Vehicle > Remote Lock... (down to second page of menu) > Passive Door Lock

Select either "Off" or "On" to get rid of the honk.

Thank you so much! It's probably because I couldn't access the Vehicle settings, it was greyed out.
