You mean J6H? That's the standard code for BCD calipers. 1LE with BCD would still have J6H, and will still be red.

J6F is only for non 1LE/ZL1 cars. 2024 is the first year that they've allowed BCD with J6F red calipers for ordering. It could just be that they made a mistake with that combo and are now removing it from orders.

Seems like not an issue for 1LE orders then, good to confirm.

Correct, sorry, J6H.

So my story started on asking my dealer to order a 2023 ZL1 on June 17 2022, said accepted but nothing so thinking they didn't tell me the truth. So when the order for 2024 opened this yr, I put in 3 (1 being CE) orders with 2 dealers. And while waiting a smaller Dealer got an allocation and salesperson knew I was looking and contacted me. So put 5000 down with them, accepted by GM and then changed the color (at my request at 2000 status) and went to 3000 status few days later. Now the car (2024 ZL1 Radiant Red) is built Sept 11th. It is sitting at the GM offsite overflow on Willow St. So now the waiting game for it to get in transit and delivered. I am hating the waiting game.

How did you find out where it is sitting? Mine was built 9/18 and am trying to find out where it is and when it might ship.

Break-in period is just 500 miles. 1500mi is when you’re advised to get an oil and diff fluid change.

My ZL1 is sitting there too. It's coming into Calgary. They will probably be bunk mates when they leave.

They can and will. They have done it before.

dealer says I'm at 3000. Not sure I believe that. Chevy bot still showed not officially accepted a couple weeks ago. I don't follow it as much because I found a '23 with my exact build.

UPDATE: Dealer says I was at 3000 on Aug 23rd. Chevy bot still says, not officially accepted. Glad I never stopped looking.

Unfortunately, this is incorrect. Straight from page 190 of the manual:
https://www.chevrolet.com/bypass/pcf..._2023JUN09.pdf

Follow these recommended guidelines during the first 2 414 km (1,500 mi) of driving this vehicle. Parts have a break-in period and performance will be better in the long run.
. Avoid full throttle starts and abrupt stops.
. Do not exceed 4000 engine rpm.
. Avoid driving at any one constant speed, fast or slow.
. Do not drive above 129 km/h (80 mph).
. Avoid downshifting to brake or slow the vehicle when the engine speed will exceed 4000 rpm.
. Do not let the engine labor. Never lug the engine in high gear at low speeds. With a manual transmission, shift to the next lower gear. This rule applies at all times, not just during the break-in period.
. Do not participate in racing events, sport driving schools, or similar activities during this break-in period.
. Check engine oil with every refueling and add if necessary. Oil and fuel consumption may be higher than normal during the first 2 414 km (1,500 mi).
. To break in new tires, drive at moderate speeds and avoid hard cornering for the first 322 km (200 mi). New tires do not have maximum traction and may tend to slip.
. New brake linings also need a break-in period. Avoid making hard stops during the first 322 km (200 mi). This is recommended every time brake linings are replaced.
. Should the vehicle be used for racing or competitive driving (after break in), the rear axle lubricant must be replaced beforehand.

Meh. From what I've been told(by folks that know), 500 miles is fine on the LT1/LT2s.

I plan on doing an oil change at 500 miles and I’ll make up my mind there.

They can protect each other. Hoping it ships sooner then later. Arriving at a dealer that’s over 400 kms from my home. But worth the drive to pick it up.
