looking at 2018 yellow zl1 with 90,000 miles!

So here we go. I have had a 2018 zl1 and a 2022 zl1 1le, and now I regret selling both of them, so I am going to buy another one! Mostly for track duty. I am talking to the dealer who has this high mileage one for about 43k. It has had the oil pump replaced and no accidents. It also has some cosmetic mods, but nothing major. Just a non oem rear wing and front canards and splitter to make it look like a 1le. Motor looks stock. Not sure about exhaust yet. I am wondering if the mag ride shocks would be okay with that many miles? Any other issues long term anyone knows about that I should look into? Thanks for any inputs.

I would treat it as any other high mileage sports car. Obviously you don't know the history of the car when it comes to maintenance so that is a concern. See if the dealer did any of those 120, 130, 140 ect point inspections and see what they found. tbh, 43k for a zl1 isn't bad. The mileage is Obviously why they are selling it for less. But it also makes me wonder got much wiggle room is in that price. just do your do-diligence and check everything out.

Since you noted it's primarily for track duty... even if the MRC is shot, the price seems good and you could find some DSSV dampers for her.

43k!! Wow. I’m biased because I’m warrantied until 2027… AND I had my trans rebuilt under warranty in the first 6 months. If I was in your shoes and money was a limiting factor like it is for me. I would take it… but yellow.. I’m sorry lol

Depending on the price and if you’re going to do mods for the track, it’s a no-brainer

Yellow ZL1's are more rare than the Panther ZL1. Less than 300 made.

maybe I'm biased

For track duty you are probably looking at doing some mods anyway. At least you will get into the car ar a lower price leaving money for mods.

On another note your story is but another example of people selling their cars and then having regrets. I have done the same but, I now have the keeper till the end. Good luck going forward.

Wasn’t questioning the rarity. Just the way it feels when my eyes look at it

I did NOT want yellow originally. Now I love it.

I was actually looking for ones for sale right before I agreed to the 23 and the low miles ones were too close to the 23's price to make sense.
