Add me to the list of the not excited people about it too!

Oh I've seen it. Just like most of the internet, it's full of folks whining about something or other. This is no different.

I'm personally not into the CE either but there are things I like about it. IMO, the price is the biggest turn-off and middle finger from GM when it comes to the CE. What I'm not gonna do though is come on here and make a bunch of posts knocking it because I know there are folks here that like it, want it or have one ordered. I'm not here to make someone on this forum feel shitty about a car they are excited about. That's not what this forum or we as Camaro enthusiasts should be about.

Why would they feel bad about their purchase if it was honestly something they liked? Why would they care what anyone else thought? Certainly they knew paying $15K+ for what they were getting and were ok with it.

[QUOTE=SwL_Wildcat;11361024]Guys were throwing out numbers like
"It's $30K more" and "Ok it's $25K more"

Maybe this is a bit better, apple to apples. $15K more

I'm beginning to think some people are pretty horrible at BASIC math. I'll try make it easier:

My 2023 ZL1 MSRP'S for 72K
A 2024 CE ZL1 built on Chevrolet.com is 92K MSRP
That's 20K MORE than my 2023 AT MSRP

I PAID 67K for my 2023 ZL1(AFTER employee pricing)
92K minus 67K means I would have to pay 25K MORE for a 2024 CE ZL1. So, once again for ME to move from a 2023 ZL1 to a CE ZL1 is 25K more expensive and is not worth it TO ME.

So who is "throwing numbers around?" Those that WANT TO pay 90K+ for a CE ZL1....go for it and enjoy it..

If you are ONLY comparing coupe to convertible then yes, it's about 15k difference.

To ME ALL the CE'S are overpriced for what you're getting(or lack thereof)...but I am HAPPY for those that are getting one if that's what THEY want!

It is overpriced for the ZL1. For the other trims, it's ok. But then you have to figure in the roughly $5.5k price bump for the ZL1 and it just shows GM doesn't care about the consumer and is getting as much money as they can from the consumer. Because they know people will pay these price hikes and overly priced Panther edition.

To each their own. But we'll have to wait about 10-15 years to see if these actually hold their value over a 2018-2023 ZL1 1LE.

Not defending him or his occasional attitude, but I think the excitement is much, much more due to being able to snag a Camaro in its final, extremely limited model year of production. In other words, limited supply drives almost all the excitement, if there were no constraints, people wouldn't celebrate much.

That said, the 2024 CE isn't bad as a product if we completely disregard price. Both the SS and the ZL1 look good, have some nice exterior and interior touches, and are still fantastic 6th gen Camaros. Exciting, well... we have seen practically the same car being produced by GM for several years now, I'm sure you know what I mean.

You're complaining about basic math but yet comparing a 2023 MSRP to a 2024 MSRP? We all know there was a price increase from 2023 to 2024. What is the MSRP for your car if you configure it as a 2024?

Using B&P duplicating my 2023 that stickered at $78,785. The 2024 ends up at $83,665. And, my salesman says no supplier discounts allowed. This is a big metro Detroit dealer so I doubt they are stopping supplier discount only at their dealership. I'm thinking that's a GM call.

I'm glad you put this up here. I was getting ready to do the same thing. It's more than stickers and badges.

Not really though, other than the 1LE wing which we all know costs a LOT if you buy one at retail price which no one does unless they order it with the car, you're getting a bunch of useless cosmetic bits, a watch, and a paint job that most people don't want. GM isn't losing money on this package, they're still making a profit so there's nothing here that makes this special other than the limited number of these packages being made available. If its excites you, then great, you're the intended audience, the vast majority of people just don't find this impressive or even desirable.

I have to disagree with part of your post...there are many things on the list that are getting added to the car from the factory that many people find desirable because they add them later to their ZL1 all the time. They want them to look more like the ZLE. I like the fact that the car will be coming with all of those and I won't have to add them myself. And yes GM will still make money on the package. Just my opinion.
