My 2017 still has the original battery. I'm only at 22000 miles and its a real garage queen with a battery tender on it from November through March. I had a 2009 G8 that kept the battery for over 7 years. I do believe keeping them in the rear of the vehicle away from engine heat makes a huge difference. Also being in a more temperate climate here in the south helps quite a bit too. If I was still in Canada this battery would have been swapped by now.

Hit 60,000 miles today. Had a hot start issue after running into the grocery store for ~10 minutes and needed a jump start. Looks like I'll be replacing my original battery.

I kept my 2010 2SS on a battery tender when it wasn't being driven. I replaced the 2010 battery in 2021.

I throw a battery tender on my batteries for a day or 2 almost every week. Doing this caused my Harley Davidson Fat Boy Battery to last 10 + years. That is a long time for a Harley Battery to last. Hopefully it will help out with the Camaro.

Mine is starting to get week in the “winter” but otherwise hanging on, lmao.
I’ll replace it if Ido not get a 242SS.

My 2018 1LS V6 was on the original battery for as long as until March 2023, when I sold it.

Mine is 2018. Keep it on a trickle charger in the winter.

My car is a 2018, and the original 700 CCA battery tested at only 420 CCA earlier this year, so I decided to replace it after 5.5 years. Never had a problem starting the car, but I did notice the cranking become a bit more labored over time. I also kept it on a trickle charger when not using it for longer periods, so I guess about 6 years is how much these can be expected to last.

2017, no trickle charger, driven daily, still strong, now seven years old since built. Trunk mounted batteries have a huge advantage due to heat avoidance. My 2006 Dodge Charger battery, trunk mounted, lasted 12 years.

I replaced mine at about 64k miles and 6 years of use. Battery was still good but decided to replace it because of age.

Consumer Reports - Car Battery Buying Guide
Proactive replacement after 5 years in my 2017 ZL1. Bought Interstate AGM at Costco, installed by local independent shop with oil change. |
