At 155 mph plus the rear end feels very planted with more than adequate traction. I suspect the wicker bill adds little to nothing in that regard. It’s likely a net negative with respect to performance.

Adequate as in I don’t get that floaty feeling I’ve experienced at high speeds in other cars, straight line or curves. Having said that, there may be situations where a wicker bill helps, but I suspect it’s not very often.

Competitively? No. Have I put it, and quite a few other high performance cars, on a track to stretch their legs, yes. I spend my time and money on competitive shooting.
I’m no expert, just a guy with 45 years of driving, and a half dozen or so high performance cars under my belt. If you think it helps have at it, have fun, be safe. |

Their use can depend on a lot of different variables. I’ve seen them work on multiple platforms in a variety of circumstances. That’s not to say there isn’t a trade off that may come from their use. There is a reason why the Z/28 had one, just as there’s a reason why the ZLE comes with a monster wing.
Ultimately, I was asking because I want the ability to easily R&R. I think they look both cool and cheesy at the same time. I’m also the type of person who would run a plywood splitter on track without worry, so take everything I have to say in whatever way you’d like…

I hope it helps! They’re not expensive and easy to install so you don’t have a lot to lose.

My dealership installed mine, as I ordered the car with it, and broke one of the end fasteners. I brought it back to them and they have ordered a new wicker bill but the fasteners are mia with no eta from the manufacturer. I'm not very happy with my dealership, Maher Chevrolet in St Petersburg, FL. I mean how hard is it to put some nutserts in the spoiler and bolt the spoiler on. I'm still waiting for the fasteners...... it's been 2 months now. The dealership is going to owe me $450 plus a new center spoiler because mine now has holes drilled in it....

$337 as I post today. Not sure what the shipping would run.
