My door sticker says Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) = 4435LB
Tire and loading sticker says to never exceed = 723LB

Would subtracting those numbers give the actual curb weight for my vehicle?
Subtracting those = 3712LB

The GM claim for my particular car is 3681LB

What does your GVWR and Tire/Loading stickers say?

Do you know what the GM curb weight claim is for your particular vehicle? I only have the info for the 2022 year. For a 2022 ZL1 A10 coupe it says 3938LB. It might be the same for the 2023 year.

You also have the exact loading 723LB which I’m curious how it’s the same exact number.

I figured someone who knows more about this stuff could tell us what it all means and if this is a more accurate way to know curb weight of an individual vehicle.

No. None of those have anything to do with actual wet weight of the car. I weighted my ZL1 1LE manual. It's 3870lbs with full fuel.

SEEMS like the weight you found for the 2022 is the same as 2023's. However, taking the GVWR minus the tire loading on mine doesn't add up to the 3,938lbs...it ends up higher by a little at 3,971lbs?? I, too am curious why the tire loading is the same for both of ours

I will have to find it but I have a paper from a cat scale if you take the weight of the trailer off the remaining weight of my car was 3590 something pounds. Which is interesting since GM said it was in between 3650 and 3700. Car had a full tank of fuel too. This was a year or two ago when I went to the ozarks with friends.

None of those things have anything to do with the actual wet curb weight of the car.

GVWR is the max legal weight the car is allowed to be with full passengers, cargo, fuel, etc. Tells you nothing about the actual weight of the car.

Tire load is how much weight each tire can hold. All tires have the same load limit if they are in the same load index category. Again, has nothing to do with how much the car actually weighs.

Most of the time, the curb weight manufactures give you will be less than what the car actually weighs. The only real way is to weigh the car yourself.

Simple solution, get it weighed however.you would like (with or without you, and as much of a tank of fuel) at a local truck.stop.

Yes, so yours ends up 33lb higher and mine is 31lb higher than stated curb weight from GM.

So some say you can't calculate curb weight in this way but do me a favor and google "how to calculate curb weight" and tell me how many sources come up sayin to use the method I original thought of. To say this calculation has absolutely nothing to do with finding curb weight comes up short IMO.

No doubt. That's one reason I stayed away from the 5G. Too heavy. I did want a light C6 but after 7 years without a car I decided to pick this LT1 up even though I think they are still to heavy. I had my 01 Camaro down to 3150. Wish I never sold that car to be honest. Oh well, time to mod the new one

Motorcycle manufacturers have always been notorious few publishing the "dry" weight of their products. No oil, no fuel, anything that made the bikes sound heavier than their actual weight when in use. Cycle buyers cared about such things as weight. Most car buyers- not so much.
However, I wouldn't put it past car makers to do the same thing. Especially on their performance cars where we do care!
The weights that exceed expectations by 30-odd lbs. would fit that explanation.

Good points. I’m not aware of the exact procedure GM uses for getting their curb weight but I wouldn’t put it past them to weigh the cars with 3/4 tank gas which happens to be about 30lbs. Just sayin.
