Yes. Mis-typed! The way I remember it is that it is the "reverse" of the Corvette "C4" convertible I had back in 1995!

That C4 was one of my favorite cars ever. I loved the snug cockpit, the electronic dash, the Red and Black leather interior, and the sharp convertible roof roofline. It was the most elegant Corvette I have owned in terms of appearance.

All good, man. Doesn't that car (4C) have manual steering? on that note, as everyone else said suspension and tires makes a huge difference.

With the GOODYEAR EAGLE F1 SUPERCAR 3 on my ZL1 (yes, even the vert) it is super twitchy. One of the reasons, I am dreading the PS4S

I don't remember for sure, but since the Alfa Romeo 4C weighs only about 1800 lb (Carbon Fiber chassis, and a "trunk" that would hold only a lady's purse), the steering could well have been manual. It was SO responsive that I found myself doing 80 KPH on a 50 KPH speed limit city street after a lane change that distracted me from the speedometer! And it had only a tiny 230 hp engine!!

And if you think side mirrors are critical on a CAMARO, wait til you try an Alfa 4C!

Then you’ll want the Michelin Pilot Super Sports.

Yeah, Fran, I can tell you firsthand that the PS4S has a small but tangible dead zone in the center, those softer vertical sidewalls take their toll. They're still relatively darty, but not twitchy, if you want that, you need something stiffer.

I love cars that "twitch" when you twitch the steering wheel, and the Camaro steering seems rather insensitive.

My perception may be still colored by a 30 minute test drive of an Alfa Romeo 5C 6 years ago. Steering that car felt like steering a go cart. It made even mere city lane changes a treat! It was easily the most responsive car I have ever driven in terms of steering response, and it may have spoiled me for any other car.

Although I have Nitto 555R2 street drag radials on the rear (to cure a previous constant traction problem in spirited acceleration), I still have the OEM run flat tires on the front.

Would changing the front tires make a meaningful enough difference in steering response to be worth doing? Or, is the electric steering (practically) impossible to make better?

Jim G
The thing that can affects steering response the most dramatically is CAMBER. The difference between steering response on a car that has stock camber settings such like -1.0 degrees camber and say -2.5 degrees camber is dramatic.

I currently run about -3.7 degrees camber on the front and -2.9 degrees on the rear of my 2019SS with about ZERO toe in toe out settings . With BMR swar bars set to FULL STIFF on the front and rear of the car, the steering response is ALMOST IMMEDIATE.

The car is used for BOTH track and DD. I get about 15K miles of wear out of my MS4S tires (I have square setup I rotate). I will say the steering response is BETTER with I run slicks or 200TW tires at the track.

Some lowering springs made my car feel more responsive and I'm sure the same would work for you. I picked up like -1deg of camber front and rear and I think that's the main reason the steering feels more responsive.

I meant Bridgestone potenza. You could fill with water just keep speed below 20 mph for best response.

Lowering further is out. The clearance is as low as 3.5 inches asit came from the factory! And the tires right now just about perfectly fill the fender oepnings - any lower and they would look odd.
