Had some Codes Pop Up recently

P2096 and P2098
Post Catalyst Fuel Trim System Too Lean Bank 1 and Bank 2.

I've had the header done about 1.5 years ago, if not longer. Was running fine and no check engine light since 2 weeks ago. First I thought it was a bad batch of fuel. So I already refueled 3 times and cleared codes. Codes pop back up within 30 minutes of driving or hitting the throttle hard.

PS the car does not have any cats.

Could it be the sensors, any advice would be appreciated, thanks

Have you tested and looked for intake/air leaks post Mass Airflow sensor? I had those codes and it was driving me and my tuner crazy. Came to find out I have a PCV hoses was lose and was allowing air in after the MAF sensor. Once I fixed that The codes cleared after a few different driving sessions.

I have just visually inspected around the engine bay. I am probably going to end up taking it to a mechanic to take a look, but wanted to see if there was a simple fix I can do myself first.

Just change the downstream sensors, with no cats it’s expected and it will be cheaper than getting it diagnosed to discover the inevitable

Yes, that is the right part number for both factory upper and lower

Post cat sensor is seeing more oxygen than expected. ECM is reading that as "lean." What has actually happened is cat converters have been removed, and now oxygen that would've been used by the converter is still in the exhaust stream.

If it worked before you can try replacing the sensors. I would probably try one of the cheater harnesses that can be plugged in place of the O2 sensor and always give an in-range reading.

With no cats, shouldn't these codes be turned off? Downstream o2's monitor the cats, which you don't have. As long as the upstream o2 readings are good, would think downstream's should be disabled.

Log your fuel trim data. If long terms are excessively positive(+25% or higher at idle) then you have a vacuum leak or unmetered air getting in the system.

Sounds like a plan to me.
I did get the impression OP has deleted both primary and secondary converters.
