My dealer from Chevy maintains the vehicle is still at 3800. Don't know how "Harley" from Chevy chat got his info. But apparently, it ain't in transit.

Members of the UAW are voting now on whether or not to authorize the union to strike the automakers at 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 14. The vote for Local 652 members in Lansing ends at 8 p.m. today, but the vote results nationwide likely won’t be known until Thursday, Aug. 24.

They always vote for authorizing the strike. It is just part of the negotiating process. They do it every contract, and it is always like 98% yes. What matters is what they do if they don't get contracts on September 14th.

I know, it's just frustrating when you are waiting on a car. Especially one that falls into the contract ending timeline

I hear you! I really wanted a 24 to get the last year, but with the UAW electing that crazy guy I decided to put my order in at the end of February. Still didn't get it until late July though.

My build date is 9/4. My buddy put a priority tag on it and is tracking it for me through shipping. Fingers crossed that the 9/4 date doesn't move

I wonder what will happen if you hit the ship lot by then? You figure GM would try to get it delivered somehow.

The Teamsters will not cross the picket lines to deliver the cars. If (and probably when) the strike starts, it will cause a total work stoppage at the auto plants. Nothing will move. In fact, in Kansas City and probably other locations, the UAW workers are already practicing how to maintain a picket line and handle themselves during the strike.

I would rather it not be built, then to sit in the yard for who knows how long. One thing for sure if its built the week of 9/4 its not leaving Grand Rapid.

100% correct. its's a nationwide vehicle production and movement stop. You will have to have it at the dealer before

Yep, I believe you to be correct. I recently became friends with a parts Manager at a Chevrolet dealership. I didn't even think about parts availability being a part of this strike, but he mentioned to me last night they have been ordering oil filters by the thousands, stocking up on oil, batteries, and the most common replacement parts, etc. He said they have stuff stored all over the place in preparation for the strike to hopefully be able to perform service on cars in case the strike goes for an extended time. Eye opener to me anyway.
