Pre-delivery instructions to dealer

Car arriving soon. I want a short list to send to dealer right before car arrives at the lot to avoid damage. Anything I missed or doesn't make sense? (I'll be using this bigger list for my inspection when I pick up the car)

1. Lift the car from the proper place
Rocker panel can be crushed/damaged if car not lifted/jacked from the proper place. I do not mean to be condescending but there are complaints online about this issue. https://youtu.be/NX_Qf9wSwos?t=165 Camaro is not a common car, so not all technicians may be aware of the sensitivity.

2. No Front License Plate Holes
Do not drill holes for front license plate or install front license plate frame. I will add a front plate holder myself later. (I won't, but this is what I am telling the dealer)

3. Exterior Wash only*
No waxes, no polishing, no buffing, no detailing, no sealants, no sprays, no protectants, no Armor All etc.

4. No Dealer Add-ons
No tint, no dealer sticker/badge/logo, no paint protection, no rust proofing, no door guards, no immobilizer, no GPS tracker, no alarm etc.

5. Interior
Leave on factory plastic covers and screen protectors. I will remove myself. No sprays, no Armor All, no cleaners, no protectants, no scents etc.

Notes for readers of this forum:
*a. This is so the car is clean enough to see gross paint defects or scratches but minimizes marring/swirls by dealer.
b. I'm aware of this: https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=437205
c. Did a search and could not find a list like this. Sorry if it is a duplicate. Please link if good thread somewhere!

Isn't there a sticker in the trunk that has all the options listed based on chevy option code (A1Y , BCD etc.)? If that still exists, try to keep that!

Sorry- didn't read that far down in your post; thought that was signature info like some members have.

Something not on that list but is mentioned elsewhere in the forum is to verify the orange spring blocks are removed from the front springs and stored in trunk or gb. I believe this applies to MRC equipped cars only.....I drove mine home 700 miles with these suckers installed.....

I'd also skip this. I told dealer no prep at all. Don't touch the car. Give it to me dirty.

Then I took her straight for Paint Correction & PPF.

Does this actually work? Do you have to slip somebody a couple hundreds?

When I bought my Mustang nine years ago I told the salesguy at least four times DO NOT VANDALIZE MY CAR by drilling holes in the front bumper. Didn't matter, they drilled holes, and there was still plastic sawdust in and around the holes. Told me it was "required."

My wife just picked up her new BRZ Manual two days ago, we told the guy DO NOT DRILL HOLES / do not add dealer badging / do not "detail" the car / do not remove protectors / basically just install fluids. Got there and the car already had 22 miles on it, holes drilled, nasty dealer badging, "detailed" for us. Started a nice day on a sour note...

My experience was fine. I insisted on no PDI and they honored that. Delivered the car with 3 miles on the ODO and dirty as all hell.

I think it's important to overcommunicate in these situations. Give specific instructions on not what to do. If you interact with a manager during the purchase process, tell them your needs as well. I like OP's idea of having a shortlist for the dealer.

The theme of my post is preventing damage before I get there. An item like this (and many more) will be on a checklist I use when I pick up the car.

Ask for an exact copy of the bill of sale. So you can see if they slip any extra charges on there (ie. $20 wheel lock for $100), prier to showing up there to buy it. Check for any dealer installed options that don't get installed. Make the money order (check) out for the exact amount. If they try to up sell you on everything, just say that is a wonderful product and would love to have it, but they will have to adjust the price of the car so it matched your check. That shuts them up really fast.

Dealers are tricky and they have ways to "out smart" you. Mostly they will just flat out lie to you.

I kinda ran into this myself, I bought new from a dealer 1500 miles from me, wired the exact amount for the car and shipping then the "paperwork/finance guy" called me and to start it was just getting the info on the paperwork right then came all the extended warranties/PPF/ceramic/road hazard/maintenance plan (because I want to take a 4-5 day trip every time I need an oil change). I even told him right off when he started, I was refusing them all and he still "had" to go over them all. Then when I got the car it was still missing the front license plate bracket (required in my state and I made part of the deal) and the cargo net that was on the window sticker, so I had the salesman send them to me.
