2024 Allocations
Has Canada received any allocations yet for 2024 Camaro's? I've talked to a few dealers here in Ontario, including ones that get a pretty good volume of 5+ ZL1s for 2023 and they haven't received a single allocation for 2024 yet.
I saw GM was going to increase LT1 and SS model production by 60% for '24s compared to '23 and 12% for ZL1s so I thought there would be a good chance to get an SS for '24 model year. I know allocations opened in the states at the end of June so I figured Canada got an initial round as well but every dealer I talk to hasn't received anything. Does anyone have an order status at 2000 and above for a 2024 Camaro? |

Back in March I placed an order with my southern Ontario dealer. I'm still waiting for them to get an allocation. They've got one Camaro built at the plant and waiting transportation. They said once this car arrives they expect to get another allocation.

Its common for dealers not to get allocations until they sell what they currently have for lower volume vehicles, similar to a revolving door. It affects smaller dealers more. However even the higher volume dealers who aren't waiting on any in transit '23s still have no '24 allocations.
I guess I'm worried that the production increase of V8s will be given to the US and that Canada won't see much increase in allocation on top of a 5-8k price increase. |

I just got an expected Build week of Sept 4 for my order (2024 ZL1 loaded) from a smaller dealer where my orders at 2 other much bigger ones I got nothing. Waited 14 months at one dealer. Yet they get a shit load of Vettes. Weird.

Interesting so it looks like it's a complete crap shoot. I guess I will just put my name down at as many dealers as possible.
I've also tried to find a new '23 1SS/2SS coupe manual and have searched the country to avoid the '24 price increase but any dealer with one listed is already sold and I've only managed to find 3 across probably 50+ dealers. Maybe I'll luck out but I think I'm stuck on waiting for the allocation at this point. GM certainly doesn't make it easy. |

Been waiting 2 years for an allocation for a 2SS 1LE. More or less given up hope at this point. Recently spoke with a high volume Camaro dealer and was told they've already been given their entire allocation for 2024 of 5 cars. So, it would appear that if a dealer doesn't have an allocation now, they're never getting one.

Ryan at Laird Wheaton in Nanaimo just called me 5 minutes ago. The just got an allocation for a 2SS. I am 1st in line for a ZL1 so he called me to ask if I want this 2SS as they still don't have a ZL1 allocation. I turned it down. I don't know if they can make it a 1LE but you could call and ask. Ryan's number is 250 927 4699. On Tuesday it goes to a 2000 status and will get ordered in grey with an automatic. If anyone wants it they should jump in right now. The sooner it gets sold they sooner they might get a ZL1 allocation. |

Allocated 2 weeks ago in Ottawa, Waiting for my workbench number. Ordered a 2SS 6.2 manual, no 1LE, black rims were unavailable, ground effects unavailable, got the magnetic shocks and the NPP exhaust. I see 1LE rims from WheelplusUSA are available -however they do not reply to my email requests, so maybe this company isnt real??

Nice to see them coming, I still haven't found one unfortunately but I'm in no rush. Looking for a 1SS due to the large price price increase. Hopefully one of my two dealers gets something, they're fairly large and I'm first for one at both.

I placed an order for a 2SS 1LE earlier this summer from a dealer that moved 2 1LE cars in 2022. I just got a call last week and they said that GM is not making any more manual trans SS cars for Canada. The strike definitely hasn’t helped matters. I’m beyond pissed, and I’m so fed up with GM. How can they not sell cars to people that want them!? They’ve got their head so far up the EV pipe they’re alienating the customers in front of them with cash in hand. I just don’t understand how Mary Barra wakes up in the morning and makes these decisions.

Lots of Camaros ...
62 is the highest number in 3 years . Was averaging around 12 up until a couple of weeks ago. But you can now pay $83K for a 2SS which is what you might have paid for ZL1 !
