Hi Guys, I remember than on my previous C7 LT3 AT Stingray the vented seat was super cold that I had to reduce the air speed setting, but on my MT Camaro SS2 does not cool enough. On this dam 100+F summer weather at Texas what would be more bereable on a MT Camaro without a remote start. A SS1 non leather without vented seats or the SS2 leather vented seats after being park under the sun for a long period of time ?

So my personally, I prefer cloth seats. That being said, I have a 2SS, so I have heated/ventilated leather. If you want certain options you have to go to a 2SS (which I did). There are things you can do to mitigate the heat while your car sits. Tinted windows, sun shade in the windshield, etc. I live in WI so I don't know the 100+ degree TX heat. We get 90's and humid once and a while and I've not had any issues with the seats in my 2SS. That being said... I have cloth in my Tahoe and no matter the temps (Hot or Winter freezing cold) the Tahoe seats are always comfortable to sit on.
So to me, it really depends on what other options you want in your Camaro, not just the seats. |

I have leather, but after parking a long time cloth is going to be much better.

Yeah cloth is going to be better in extreme heat when the sun is beating on the car. Never had a problem with it.

Ambient temp matters, but so does where you park. If you have no choice but to park in full, direct sun... that interior (and the seat surfaces) are going to be HOT. Anything you can do to reduce how much sun hits the car is going to be very helpful to keep internal temps down more. Otherwise, both options will be about the same once you get the cabin temp down to where it's overall comfortable.
Even here, on a day where it's 90, the interior is very uncomfortable if the car is parked in the direct sun for a longer length of time. |

Unfortunately, there are many more differences between the 1SS and 2SS trims than just the seats, so although the cloth seats in the 1SS are definitely better in hot weather (the seat ventilators in the 2SS don't exactly blow a tornado), I would not want to compromise and go without other 2SS features.
