I agree the vehicle values are dropping (and have been), however, that is not AS true when it comes to certain vehicles. Think specialty or not-so-common vehicles. The V8 cars will continue to hold value better than most IMO, especially the top dog cars like the Hellcat, Z06, ZL1, etc.
Hey... yep.. still here. . For shits and grins I just checked Vroom for current offer on my '16 2SS... $22k... I also check CarEdge which gave me the CarGuru's as the best offer. Also $22k...

What is the best site/place to list your car for sale in Detroit MI?

If they pull from dealer sites, the majority of those are in transit and sold. The market supply is smaller than it looks. You have no idea how difficult it was to get a 2SS CE allocation right here 40 minutes from where they are built

Oh I believe it was difficult. The nice thing about CarEdge is it tells you right on the ad how many days those cars have been sitting on the lots. I'm not disagreeing at all that in Detroit MI it is a hotter market for muscle cars. I was asking honestly. What's the best site to try to sell them on over there? I "may" be looking to sell mine. I actually bought my car from Detroit MI (Used) and had it shipped over to me.

Yeah, I mean there are a **TON** of factors going into car values.. especially when we're looking at an automated online offer specifically. The MMR figures (auction values) are whacky, and have been for a couple of months now. Throw in the uncertainty of the market, high interest rates, various inventory levels, etc. It wouldn't be terribly accurate/fair to throw a blanket statement (value) on a car based on a couple of very similar sources.

Then you have the look at the vehicle, the age, the mileage, location, etc. Depreciation often has cliffs for certain cars, so again, it wouldn't be fair to say a 2016 is losing (or retaining) value the same as say a 2023, for example.

I know a guy that just sold his ~3k mile C8 1LT for nearly $5k over sticker.

Agree with all those points you listed. Ya, C8's are going for crazy money. I look once and a while because one day, I'll own one. So I check the used market here/there. Out of my price range right now.

I bought my 2021 ZL1 in April with 65 miles on it that was exactly the same as the car I was trying to order, just 10k cheaper. Still smells brand new too. So if it is what you want, or in your case, you are still fine with it not being the transmission you were preferring, I'd say buy it. In my case it was a complete match so it was an easy call for me.
